Goa Games - Privacy Policy

Read the Goa Games privacy policy: what information we collect, how we use and protect it, your data-protection rights, and how to contact us with any privacy questions.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly

When you register an account on Goa Games at goagamesofficial.in.net, we collect your full name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, and a chosen username. If you make a deposit or withdrawal using payment methods such as PhonePe, Google Pay (GPay), BHIM UPI, net banking, or debit card, we collect the transaction reference number and the masked payment instrument details necessary to process and reconcile that transaction.

KYC and identity documents

To comply with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act 2002 (PMLA) and applicable RBI guidelines on prepaid payment instruments, Goa Games requires KYC verification before processing withdrawals above prescribed thresholds. Accepted documents include a PAN card (mandatory for winnings above ₹10,000 in a financial year), Aadhaar card, voter ID, or passport. Uploaded document images are stored in encrypted form and accessed only by our compliance team or authorised regulatory authorities.

Automatically collected technical data

Each time you access Goa Games, our servers automatically log your IP address, device model, operating system version, browser type, session timestamps, pages or game screens visited, and in-game actions. We also use cookies and similar technologies to maintain login sessions and analyse platform usage. You may disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect certain platform features such as saved preferences and auto-login.

Location information

We collect your state-level location at registration and may re-verify it periodically to ensure compliance with state-specific laws governing real-money skill games in India. Players accessing the platform from states where real-money gaming is restricted are blocked from participating in paid contests in accordance with those restrictions.

How we use your information

Account management and payments

Your personal and payment data is used to create and authenticate your Goa Games account, process deposits received via PhonePe, GPay, BHIM UPI, or bank transfer, credit contest winnings to your registered bank account or UPI handle, and issue TDS certificates as required under Section 194BA of the Income Tax Act 1961 for net winnings above the applicable threshold.

Legal compliance and fraud prevention

We are required by Indian law to retain KYC records and transaction logs for a minimum of five years under the PMLA 2002. We monitor account and gameplay activity to detect multi-accounting, chip-dumping, collusion, and other prohibited conduct. Where fraud or money laundering is suspected, relevant data may be disclosed to the Financial Intelligence Unit, India (FIU-IND), law enforcement agencies, or courts pursuant to a lawful order.

Platform improvement and responsible gaming

Aggregated, pseudonymised usage data helps our engineering team identify performance bottlenecks, prioritise new features, and improve the overall Goa Games experience. We also monitor individual gameplay patterns to detect signs of problem gambling, enforce self-exclusion requests, apply deposit limits set by the player, and send cooling-off reminders in line with our responsible gaming policy.

Marketing communications

With your prior consent, we may send promotional offers, tournament announcements, and bonus notifications by SMS, email, or in-app push notification. You may withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by updating notification preferences inside your Goa Games account settings.

Your rights

Access, correction, and deletion

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA), you have the right to request access to the personal data Goa Games holds about you, seek correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, and request erasure of data that is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected, subject to our statutory retention obligations under the PMLA and Income Tax Act.

Withdrawal of consent and grievance redressal

Where we process your data based on consent, for example, for marketing communications, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. If you believe your data rights have been violated, you may raise a grievance with our Data Protection Officer. If your complaint is not resolved within 30 days, you have the right to escalate to the Data Protection Board of India once it is constituted under the DPDPA.

How to exercise your rights

To submit a data access, correction, or deletion request, log in to your Goa Games account and navigate to Settings > Privacy > My Data, or email us at the address in the Contact Us section below. We will acknowledge your request within 72 hours and respond substantively within 30 days.
